Who are you?

Today the sky is a clear bright blue and the sun is gleaming off the snow that covers the landscape. It’s a beautiful day but for a moment we lost sight of all that was good and wonderful and allowed satan to bring us confusion and disharmony.

 

Through all of this I’m reminded of a message that God brought to me two nights ago. He woke me three different times to say: Do Not lose focus of what I have called you to do. Sometimes in the process of everyday life we allow satan to control our thinking and our emotions and so quickly we lose sight of who we are and what we have been called to do, so my message today is a reminder to myself and if you can gain anything from it, then I praise God for using me to bring this reminder to you as well.

Here is who I am:

A Son of Abraham

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring – not only to those who are of the law but also to those who have the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.” He is our father in the sight of God – Romans 4:16-17a

Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham – Galatians 3:7

 The temple for the Holy Spirit

You, however, are not in the realm of the fless but are in the realm of the spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you….And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you . -Romans 8:9a &11

And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. – Ephesians 2:22

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? – 1 Corinthians 3:16

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; - 1 Corinthians 6:19

 A child of God

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry “Abba”, Father.” The spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Romans 8:14-16

So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God - Galatians 3:26a

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! – 1 John 3:1a

 

An Heir of God

Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ   -  Romans 8:16a

So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. – Galatians 4:7

 

And Oh there are so so many more.  I could continue to list them all for you and maybe you would take the time to read them and believe them but I would love it more if you would leave a comment and list Who you are.
